Privacy and transparency

Practice the limits we ask for.

This notice covers DeFlock NBTX’s website and supporter form. Last updated October 10, 2026.

Who operates this website

DeFlock NBTX is a project of Texas Privacy Coalition. Contact info@texasprivacycoalition.com with questions, corrections, or requests to remove your signup.

What the signup collects

Your email, optional name, optional city-voter self-assessment, volunteer preference, consent version, and submission time. A self-assessment is not voter verification. Do not submit your birthdate, home address, voter number, government identification, or petition signature here.

How we use it

For DeFlock NBTX initiative updates and, when requested, volunteer coordination. We do not sell or rent the contact list, publish supporter identities, use advertising pixels, or add visitor analytics. A signup does not authorize unrelated campaign mail or a public endorsement.

Service providers and security

Vercel hosts the website. Supabase processes and stores form submissions in the coalition’s existing project. Authorized coalition organizers may access the signup records. Service providers can process request metadata, including IP addresses, under their own service and security practices.

The form uses a short-lived, keyed hash of network information for abuse prevention. The campaign’s rate-limit records are purged daily after they are 24 hours old; raw IP addresses are not stored in the campaign signup table. Infrastructure providers may retain their own logs. We do not promise that data never passes through a service provider.

Retention and removal

Campaign contact records are scheduled for deletion 12 months after signup unless you submit a new signup after removal. You may request earlier removal or opt out of contact through the coalition mailbox. We will process requests within 30 days unless a legal obligation requires preservation. We may retain records needed to comply with law or protect against abuse, limited to that purpose.

Petition records are different

This form is not an initiative petition. Formal petition sheets require separate collection and handling. Documents filed with the City may become public records, subject to applicable disclosure and redaction requirements. A private campaign contact list should not be treated as a public signature sheet.

Links, cookies, and children

External links have their own privacy practices. We do not set marketing cookies or load external fonts, embedded video players, or advertising scripts. Hosting and security providers may use necessary technologies. This campaign form is intended for adults; please do not submit a child’s contact information.
